We have a volunteer coordinator who can arrange for individual tutoring for students who are in need of that service, whether it be for English or math. Please fill out a tutor request form at the front desk and we will be happy to arrange for that.

Family Support Specialists:
FSS workers are available to help individuals and families with their specific needs. They have a wealth of knowledge about resources available in the community. They will assist families with getting food, employment, housing, etc. Available in English or Spanish.
Crisis Needs Closet:
New backpacks and school supplies, in addition to new shoes, coats, winter hats and clothing in various children's sizes are available. Teacher/Administrator must fill out and sign our "Closet Referral Form".
Over 400 Midtown Clinic co-pay waivers are available to anyone that lives in the Wasatch Elementary school boundaries. This includes older and younger siblings and parents. Midtown Clinic is nearby on Main Street in Clearfield and provides medical care to people without health insurance or on Medicaid. They usually charge a $25 co-pay. Limited dental and vision services.
After School Math Club & Tutors:
Math tutoring will be available for elementary school students performing below grade level after school and during school hours for those students unable to attend after school.
Thanks to AmeriCorps and United Way of SL, Wasatch Elementary students have volunteers available to help students performing below grade level in literacy.
Chronic Absences/Attendance Support:
Thanks to AmeriCorps and United Way of SL, two part-time AmeriCorps volunteers will be managing an attendance incentive program at Wasatch Elementary.
Counseling services are available through Davis Behavioral Health to students at Wasatch, Holt & South Clearfield Elementary Schools on a referral basis through the school principals.
Support for families with children with disabilities:

Youth After School ESOL:
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) computer classes for Wasatch Elementary School students ages 6-12 years old. Monday-Thursday, 3:30-4pm.
Early Head Start & Head Start:
Free preschool for children ages 0-5. Family & health services, nutritious meals & snacks, educational curriculum. Also serves children with special needs. Call 801-402-0650 for more information.
Before & After School Program:
Held at Wasatch, Holt & South Clearfield Elementary schools and run by adult staff. Provides snacks and homework tutoring. Call 801-402-2650.
